• processing job applications, in partnership with our clients, on whose behalf we are instructed to advertise job vacancies – this means that if you apply for a specific job, we may pass your details on to the relevant client to proceed with the application and you understand that this means you may receive further direct correspondence from them;

• allowing our clients, to understand who is making use of our website and how their job vacancies are being viewed;

• with candidates’ permission Avenue Thorn Recruitment Services Ltd. may contact candidates directly and confidentially about other potentially suitable opportunities that may be relevant in the future;

• providing you with customer and product support and monitoring the quality and types of support we provide to our users


The legal grounds for processing this information are as follows:

• Avenue Thorn Recruitment Services Ltd.’ legitimate interests in providing recruitment services to you and ensuring quality product support;

• To comply with our contractual obligations to you or to any clients to whom you have asked us to pass on your details.

Avenue Thorn Recruitment Services Ltd. is a provider of recruitment services to local clients. If you apply for a specific job, we will, if appropriate, pass your CV to a client organisation per the description set out above.

Retention of Personal Data


The Company will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose we collect it. Different laws may also require us to keep different data for different periods of time. 

We will normally retain your personal data for 2 years. You can ask us at any time to delete your personal data, subject to any legal restrictions on our ability to do so which are outlined below. 

  • If you send your CV to us and it is reviewed by one of our consultants and that consultant feels that we do not have any suitable current vacancies or any that we know are coming up in the very near future, that match your skills and qualifications, we will not retain your CV for more than 14 days.
  • If you send your CV to us and it is reviewed by one of our Consultants and on review we ask you to complete our registration process, we will retain your details as detailed below;
  • If you register with us and we do not place you in a Permanent or Contract position then we are required by the Employment Agencies Act to retain your personal data for a minimum of 1 year after the last time we took action on your job search.
  • If we placed you in a Permanent job or Contract position with one of our Employer Clients then we are required by law to retain your personal data related to proof of eligibility to work and proof of identity. This personal data must be kept for 2 years from the start date of your new position.
